To dark green , I'm sorry your dd had such a bad year.
My dd had a very tough morah that same grade, it didn't bother my dd but it bothered ME!!!
I am so uncomfortable and intimidated by her. She should not be teaching that age!!! Maybe high school.
My dh and I agreed that we will REFUSE to allow the next dd to be in her class. Demand other morah who is sweet and loving.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same morah!!!!

I send my difficult kids' teachers a generous tip, not as a bribe, but as a "I know you're going above and beyond for this child, and I want you to know that it hasn't gone unnoticed."
As a HS teacher myself, I rarely receive tips, and when I do, it's usually from a parent who knows that their child needed more than the average kid.

Maybe your son not always the easiest?
and she may enjoy some nicer more cheerful kids?
for example?
you dont have to gift, but remember at times your kid is not pleasant, and she will deal with it
maybe?
again, no need to gift
if H insist, maybe do give. you do want to make him happy, so give a smaller gift? or a card and and a chochlate?
