Any leads?
Of course the first thing is a competent, experienced teacher.
"Yeshivish" is important. Or Chassidish. Meaning 'very frum', I guess?
Meaning my daughter is very focused on the influences on her children. So she wants someone whose hashkafos are like hers. (All this edited per comments below...)
Not a long trip from "E End" of Lakewood is also pretty helpful.
Thanks!

I don’t have anyone to recommend but I do have to say that’s a very strange criteria to look for.
What wrong with a chassidish piano teacher?
Or a Russian piano teacher that isn’t frum?
Makes no difference male or female. Just yeshivish?
Strange

Strange | Yeshivish is a style of piano playing.

Not as far as I know.
I’m a music teacher myself. You can teach yeshivish songs but one doesn’t need to be yeshivish to do that. And there’s lots that comes before the style of playing.
Just a very odd request

See above, I edited original request to explain.
Hey, I'm just passing on a request.
(Although I suppose if it's my daughter making the request I should bear some responsibility if she's odd....)

Do you know what neighborhood?
Single or married?
(You have to understand that DD will check out any suggestion like a shidduch...
I know, I know .... )

Yeshiva area
Married
Well known in the yeshivish circles.
Your daughter should call her and ask for references, she will get a clear picture if she researches a bit herself.

I know Dina works in schools, I would doubt she has time for private lessons but I can certainly ask her, thanks for the idea!

Nothing wrong with your DD's request, OP. The last few piano and guitar teachers I looked into I asked similar questions. Unfortunately, many of today's music and voice teachers have the girls singing and playing non-Jewish music.
A mother of a child has a right to protect her child from what *she* deems dangerous to her child. Your DD was raised fine and is doing her job as a mother.

I'm a piano teacher but not in Lakewood. I definitely hear the question and understand why your daughter wants to know. :-)
