The Libel was in the 20th century when they should've known better (people were more educated then and not so ignorant)
It was the last known blood libel

Correct on the first, incorrect on the second. Touro synagogue is the oldest synagogue to be standing today, but there is a different congregation still in existence that came first.
In fact, ownership of the Touro synagogue was transferred to this cong. at the onset of the Revolutionary war. They were in the news recently regarding a dispute over the current ownership. Anyone recall the name?[/quote
Is it the Spanish Portuguese shul (shearith israel) in NY?

2- There was a ruler I think in the Philippines whose wife had 100's of pairs of shoes, they had to run for there lives thanks to the fact they stole the country's $$$
