action, drama, mystery, suspense etc.
shows I previously enjoyed:
desperate housewives
revenge
devious maids
law and order svu
the mentalist (loved this one)

any movie/show currently streaming on prime that you would recommend based on my list?

Maybe Bones or Alias? Bones is like the mentalist in that it's a procedural forensic crime drama but it's got a fair bit of humor. Alias has the suspense/drama.
