I was so enjoying this thread earlier today that I am bumping it up so more people can see it.

I composed a song for each of my children (about them) and sing it to them every night while stroking their heads. I’m a generally impatient person, so this gives short, quality 1 on 1 time and they love it. Ask for it every night, even the older ones.

I really play a lot of games with my children as well. What are you looking for, I can give some ideas.

I have four littles under 7 and work 7 hours a day so I'm usually short on patience or time to do anything extra 'special'
when we have an on schedule bedtime then I will say shema and give hugs and kisses to each individually and then whisper special things about them in their ear and/or 'chills' or draw pics on their backs.
on summer shabbosim, I put them to bed after DH goes to maariv and we all go into my room and I sing to them until they all fall asleep.

You are THE Best!
There's some really good comic relief here! Keep it coming makes me feel human.
