Attention LA'rs and those who recently travelled to California. If I'm not vaccinated, whats the protocol regarding entry into hotels; will a recent negative covid test help and if yes, how recent. do they swab at entry? what about other areas in California like San Diego etc. sorry for my questions... I'm just clueless and want to prepare myself

Vaccination records are required in LA for the following indoor areas:
restaurants, bars, gyms, movie theaters, concert venues, convention centers, card rooms, museums, play areas, spas, salons and indoor city facilities.
Masks are required indoors and on public transportation.
And yeah, these rules need to be followed. Stores can get major fines and you dont want to be responsible for that.

FWIW, San Diego’s rules are much more relaxed. No one is checking vaccine cards or enforcing masks for the unvaccinated. That said, I think it’s an extremely bad idea, especially if you’re traveling from somewhere with higher COVID rates, to not follow the rules (which are to vaccinate indoors if you’re not vaccinated).

None of the frum restaurants I’ve been to have asked for my vaccine card so far. I live in LA. I don’t know about hotels since I do live here but why don’t you pick one and call them up and ask?
