I am looking for a yeshiva in Lakewood that will build up, not just accommodate, a very smart boy with ADHD. He has amazing strengths, is keeping up with the learning, and is not a behavior issue in class. However, I can see that we might be dealing with behaviors soon if I leave him where he is. Any recommendations?

He is in first grade now. Rather not say which yeshiva until we are sure he is transferring but it is a litvish, very yeshivish one. We would prefer a more right-wing crowd but mainly looking for a place where he can be successful.

Ok. I'm sorry. For some reason, I thought you needed yeshiva high school.

Are you looking for a regular yeshiva that's accommodating/warm or are you looking for a different type of yeshiva/more special needs type

I’m looking for a high school for a very bright boy with ADHD. He’s in Tashbar. Any recommendations?

A regular yeshiva that will be accommodating. I feel like he is surviving in his current yeshiva but is not thriving. They are "tolerating" him but he really needs to be built up and feel good about himself.

I wish there was someone I knew who was familiar with all the schools and can guide us in where to send him. I want to be proactive and make arrangements now for next school year. If you have the name of someone who could meet him and guide me I would be super appreciative!

Ohr hachinuch supposed to be good too but might not be yeshivish enough for you

Orchos Chaim

Kochvai ohr is small classes in the cheder for smart boys that need help with social skills etc
You’ll need an iep from board of Ed
Call ziva krieget foundation they were so helpful and directed my son to right place for him

Thank you! Kochvai Ohr would not be an appropriate placement for him. He is functioning in a regular education class now but I am looking for a school that is willing to have interventionists work with him during the school day.

I will call the Ziva Krieger foundation. Thanks!

I will try them. Thank you!

Is there a Rav or chinuch expert in Lakewood that I can call? Anyone for elementary schools that is similar to Rabbi Strauss who directs people with placement for mesivta?

I am looking for someone who can place for elementary school, not mesivta.
