I'm looking for books for my DD, 14. She's not interested in anything from a Jewish publisher or old fashioned classics. She's mature, and it's getting harder to find books she likes that aren't hugely inappropriate. She like realistic and historical fiction, and some fantasy/dystopian. Looking for recommendations of authors along the lines of Sarah Dessen, Kasie West, Jenny Han, Marisa Meyer.

Thank you! She read these about 2 years ago and enjoyed them. She still reads the new ones as they come on. This is the right track for her interests--but a bit young for her now--any other suggestions?!

Twilight gets inappropriate as the series goes on.

Ds is eleven. He loves a tale of magic and wants to read the sequels.
Someone recommended land of stories to us but he never read them.
He also really likes the secret series, the story thieves, and wings of fire.

Have you seen this? I don't know if it's helpful for you but I find kosherbooks.org very useful and user-friendly.

ETA: for some reason it didn't open to The Land of Stories. Sorry.
