I need a pen name. Help!

My ideas so far of names I like with some kind of meaning to me...

Alissa
Lori

That's it... someone please help me. My goals for today are to finally choose a pen name and create my spreadsheet of writing projects.

Is there a name that you always liked but wouldn't use.?

A favorite TV or literary character you'd like to pay homage to?

I'm not planning to hide that it's me. I just need something to differentiate between my Jewish books and indie/secularly published books. Based on numerous discussions with people who know more than me (and people I work with whose opinions matter in these decisions. ;-))

I want it to be easy to spell and remember, but also not already taken by another author or public figure. And I have to like it.

It's a tall order. Especially that last point!

Well that's where Alissa and Lori came from lol!

Nothing sci-fi or fantasy sounding... no offense to Rawling. Just not my cup of tea.

I was thinking maybe Shiloh for a last name. Is that a normal enough thing to do?

ETA: If I use Shiloh, I can't use Lori. I think that's how Shiloh got vetoed the first time I considered it lol

I mean, "the world" would pronounce it SHY-low. Angelina Jolie (I think?) has a kid with the name. So it's not automatically Jewish. Plus I don't need the name to sound UN-Jewish. It just has to be different than my real name.

Right, because of the book "Shiloh" by Lori Benton.

I think I like Lori better too.

Haha love the ode to Kiwi, which was legit made up on the spot when I was signing up for this site. The same way I made up the user name Megapack once, because I was like... I need a name, I need a name... massive box of diapers on the table with the phrase, you got it, "Mega Pack"

I think I might have wanted to eat some Kiwis. They were out of season. It was winter.
