Has this happened to anyone? Is it dangerous? Can I send him to cheder tomorrow? What do I need to look out for?

You must call your dr now
they probably have to do an imaging x ray or something
don't just assume it will come out though it might

Is he regular now? its like swallowing a fish bone
Its not dangerous.
There were a few doctors who each swallowed a lego and wanted to see what would happen they are all ok it just passed thru the system

you cannot assume this!
sometimes yes
sometimes lodges and creates real problems over time and can even be mistakenly assumed to be terrible illnesses R"L
best to deal with it now

My doctor said to just monitor since it's a very small piece of plastic.

It can pass on its own, or it can c"v puncture something on his insides. So don't assume anything. Call your doctors after hours emergency number and speak to someone over the phone now. Refuah Shelaima!

He's 10. I guess he was eating and didn't realize he swallowed it. My sister's baby once swallowed pins and the doctor took x-rays.
