I bought some seriously gorgeous ones on Amazon for $20. They look and feel like real hair and don't need to be washed and set professionally. Free returns so why not try, at least for a headband/hat fall.
Don't go by the model's picture, you need to look at reviews and customer images.

Thanks. Do these knot up ? Are you able to brush it? Wash it? Or is it only good for a few uses?

I’ve only worn the straight one so far a few times, but haven’t worn the others yet. I bought a generic version of this brush (from dollar tree)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....21295
And brushed through it after each wear. It did get a bit tangled but after brushing through looked fresh again. I haven’t washed yet but there’s a lot of info online about washing synthetic wigs and some wigs come with a pamphlet with instructions on how to wash. Apparently they hold their style so they dry with the curls and waves they came with. I’m new to this myself, but like I said for $20 it can give people another option over spending hundreds/thousands!

Thanks so much! Sheitel shopping has stressed me out ever since I got married. I'm a redhead with a shoe string budget so... go figure. More common hair colors look weird on me because I'm so pale I'm going to try the haircube orange-brown.

Op, were you able to wear the wigs as is, or did you have to get them cut/styled?

The straight one and the one I bought as a fall are great. But I'm rethinking the wavy/curly one I bought. It is too long for me so unless I can trim it I will probably return.

Same same! It's so hard for red heads who don't have a lot of money.

A wash and set is more expensive than wearing one of these wigs even for a one time thing!
Thank you op!

I'm not OP, but I dabble in synthetics for fun when I want to try a new color or style. To make them look the most natural, the wigs definitely need adjustment. I almost always need to snip bangs on wigs with them. Some of the wigs need to be thinned, others are unnaturally flat at the top and need a bit of low heat applied to give some life to the look. Lastly, the "scalp" can always use help. I apply makeup to the part with an eyebrow brush and use the spoolie to thin and spread it. Lace fronts need additional work as well.
It sounds like a lot but when you're spending $20, it's totally worth it. I actually wore a synthetic to work yesterday and whenever I wear it I get tons of compliments.

My sheitel is currently in for repairs and it might take a few weeks. I bought one of the haircube ones from amazon, and it is fine. It doesn't have clips, so it needs a wig grip. I watched a video on you tube about how to cut,and trimmed it down a little. It looks like a totally normal sheitel, except the top doesn't have a skin or lace part.
