Depends if you need to also be able to sort laundry (before or after washing) and/or hang it in there. Think about what you need in your laundry room. Personally, I've managed with 4ft x7 feet with some great planning

I’d like to hang and sort laundry in there
Maybe have 3 hampers and a rod?
Any ideas?

Would you want to put a sink in there as well?
It does seem a bit tight

Mine is 7 by 5. It’s small. I have 2 large laundry baskets. Washer dryer ( side by side) a hanging rod. A ironing board that comes
Down from a wall. It’s tight but works.

It’s all in the setup. Have to figure out how to maximize the space.

Can you make it a closet with a sliding barn door or wall? Something like this: https://www.houzz.com/photos/b.....69684

If you can use the floor space from a different room, and only need the area for the machines, counters, sink, etc. it should be plenty spacious.

Sink is not a must, I have a bathroom right nearby if needed

Is the rod above the machines?

Yes. But yours is bigger. I think you can do it on the side. I also have a counter top on too of the machines so that’s my work surface.
