multiple people we contacted. We've contacted 3 people so far some of whom were recommended on here for someone to replace our wooden staircase. Either they say they'll come to give an estimate (some forgot multiple times) or they come and don't send an estimate or don't want to give a reference in Brooklyn. If you had your wooden staircase replaced in Brooklyn and were happy with the work they did and if they weren't too expensive, can you post their name and number? tia

I just used somebody Sheldon in Brooklyn, he was terrible, so if that name comes up don't use him.

FWIW replacing wooden stairs is a very labor intensive job and many tradespeople simply do not want to do it.

That is why you are getting no call backs when they hear you want to replace stairs

Anyone who is skilled enough to do it properly has more work than they can handle - easier so more desirable.
