We have a substantial amount of tzedaka we'd like to give. Was thinking of starting some sort of gemach to be able to continue benefiting people. Any ideas appreciated? Or please share a gemach you have in your area that is very much needed and I can start in my neighborhood too.

Helping out struggling families redew basics in their house. Some people live in such broken apartments.
If only they can repaint the walls or scrape their floor, buy new decent chairs, they would be so grateful.
or low income families who are making simcha.

Something I actually thought about doing.... Baby bottle gemach so when mothers go back to work they can try out lots of bottle types to see which baby takes best. Need time though to sanitize when returned. Can do with formula types also so people can see what agrees with the baby.
Waze devices for people who don't want smartphones but need the driving instructions.
Baby swing gemach if you want to spend money... Require a deposit, 3 month loans. Or exersaucers, also expensive and only used for a few months really.
There's always kallah/simcha gowns, maternity gowns, hairpiece/kallah shoes....
If you have significant space, folding chair/table gemach for parties and simchos.

If you don't live in Lakewood a simcha gemach like the amazing one in Lakewood. A zero interest business lone gemach for people starting a business.

Those are some great ideas. Bottle gemach - very creative!
A Swing Gemach is a great idea as they’re super space consumers once you’re done w it.
