We recently attended a workshop in which we decorated a glass mezuzah case. It was lots of fun and came out looking beautiful (imho).
If they would enjoy such a thing, you can see if that kind of workshop exists in their area.
That way they will have a special mezuzah case for their new home, which they designed themselves!
(And have a fun, relaxing break from all the work of moving.)
