No offense to people who enjoy these things, but I don't like these arts-n-craftsy favors and wasn't willing to spend on something classy like personalized siddur. So we did "disposable" benchers. One side personalized with son's name, date, etc. and the other side benching. Easy enough to do at the printer. It looked like a bookmark and was placed on everyone's setting. The bar mitzvah was a beautiful event and nobody was missing the chocolate tefillins or the mini hat boxes that make me cringe when I see them.
DS didn't care. He only had one request regarding what he wanted, and we made sure to fulfill that. His class got delicious adult-like food so they were duly impressed... lol.

I did pillow favor boxes. I just printed mini copies of my son's tefillin bag on sticker sheets and sticked them on.

I also got a tefillin choco mold in the local supermarket.
