I'm hoping some ladies might have some great ideas or good advice. Last night, I made some tu Bshvat gift baskets to express hakaras hatov to certain individuals. I realized that it brought me such joy and calm to make these gift baskets that I would love to find a way to make a business out of it. I am creative so this is such a great outlet for me. I was wondering if there is a way to monetize my hobby and start a business that I would really enjoy?
There are already 1-2 kosher candy/nut shops in the city where I live and they make all kinds of platters and baskets. I'm thinking that since the market is somewhat saturated, I need a niche but not sure what. Does anyone have any creative ideas about what I could specialize in or how to start? I'm thinking maybe starting out with some mishloach manos?? Any suggestions would be so helpful!!

Thank you!

How about trying to do corporate gifts and hostess packages?

What about wrapping vort gifts or chosson kallah gifts? Or gifts people buy for bar/bas mitzvah or a baby and want it wrapped in cellophane or on a nice display?

Definitely start with shalach manos now and see where it takes you. Open an Instagram account so you have a visual portfolio. It doesn't all have to be candy and nuts, it can be a cheese/wine package. A salad package with croutons etc. Not sure exactly what you mean by baskets but they can be useful not just pretty packaging

Mishloach manot would be a good way to start and get your name on the market.

Bear in mind, that the pressures that go along with a business will take away from the calm and joy that this gives you as a hobby. It may or may not be worth it.
