Which jewish songs come from non-jewish songs?

I once heard that the song "Yisroel, yisroel, where have you been all these years..." is from a love song, anyone know if that's true?

Many of Reb Y"T Ehrlich's songs come from old folks songs, and he didn't compose them himself as common thought.

Famous “Yiddin, yiddin” tune by Mbd was performed at a European music festival in an unfamiliar language. The music video is still somewhere in cyberspace. The cast is dressed up in animal costumes. Really weird.

There are so many....

The famous Ki Eshmera Shabat for example is one that isn't so very well known. It's a Ottoman Navy anthem

Especially with modern music, I'll be walking in the mall and hear something, and I'll be like "That sounds vaguely familiar"...

Which "famous" Ki Eshmera Shabbos? The one based on, and indeed a speeded-up version of, Ahavat Hadassah composed in Yemen in the 17th century?
Sorry, I've just listened to the video linked here and it sounds nothing like it. Maybe you had another tune in mind.

So how about a "Jewish-flavoured" song by a non-Jewish composer for a very famous stage play? MBD's "Lichtiger Shabbos" is based on "Close Every Door to Me" from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolo[u?]r Dreamcoat". I have translated "Lichtiger Shabbos" to both English and Hebrew.
