Where do Chinese people with their unique features orientate from?
Which genes? Noachs children or the shvotim?

Would love to know more.

Why would you think southeast Asian peoples are descended from the shvatim?

Do you mean from the African Jungle? Do you believe we were all monkeys once? That's kefirah.

We know Hashem created humans on the sixth day of creation.

Not all of us take that so literally.

(Torah is a guidebook. Not a history book or a science book.)

Sorry my ignorance.

Human beings’ features evolve over time based on where they live, slowly adapting to habitat over many generations. This is actually mentioned in the Kuzari, where it discusses that Asians have narrow almond-shaped eyelids to protect their eyes from the sand.

I don’t think the Torah specifies where Asiatic nations come from, and obviously science doesn’t use the Torah as a framework for human development, so it’s hard to say exactly who they are descended from. I guess they were descended from whoever was scattered to that corner of the earth during Dor Haflaga?

My point is, their features weren’t necessarily like that from the beginning of time. One person was born with a superior gene uniquely suited to that habitat, that made him more likely to survive in that climate, so he lived longer/procreated more/whatever. Farmers can follow a similar process when planting vegetables or breeding animals, only choosing to breed the more successful “variants.”

There’s a lot of literature about how genetics work and how/why organisms evolve over time. This isnt kefirah.

I find this comment pretty shocking on a frum website. Brias haolam is not a medrash. It’s pashut p’shat.

Were you a monkey once?
I wasn't.
So definitely not all of us...

It says that Avrohom married Ketura, who was really Hagar. He gave their children gifts and sent them to the east. It’s possible they were sent all the way to the Far East. Just a theory, of course.

I heard in one of the parsha story CDs that one of the curses of migdal bavel was that some people were turned into monkeys. So "science" is "close" on that one, they just got it backwards.

Avraham's children went east. And he gave them gifs, these gift were the powers from tumah.

I always assumed these are Asians. Especially those cultures that use meditation...

One thing science and religion have in common is not claiming that people come from monkeys.

Rashi and other moleforshim are clear that the Torah does not give a scientific or historical detail of the creation of the world.
