Just out of curiosity… what is something you wish they would have in Lakewood/Tr/Jackson- could be a store, a chessed, a service- something you feel would be beneficial for Lakewood.

I don't live there but as a visitor I thought Lakewood could desperately use public transportation (privately runned maybe?). Though I doubt this is the answer you're looking for.

This! I do live in Lakewood and we desperately need public transportation. I don't think private would work, they already tried the "L" but that didn't do much. I don't know if it still runs but even if it does, it basically goes from West Gate to Yeshiva area, doesn't cover too much of Lakewood.
And yes, I doubt this is what OP had in mind. Other than that I think we pretty much have it all!

Furniture Reupholstery- like dining room or dinette chairs. Replace plastic, recover part of chair, clean fabric
I wanted to reupholster some parts of chairs. Big places wouldn’t do it.
There are some private ppl but they are swamped with work and hard to get.

The ‘L’ bus used to be privately owned by Jays but they gave it up bec it was losing money. And that is with the busses granted by government. I think the township runs it now.
It extends to much more of lakewood. Like hoes from belz and other developments in more chassidish areas to large shopping centers like gourmet Glatt.

More schools, and better medical specialists. Good luck getting either though.

More babysitters, playgroups for all ages, day camps.
I wish registration for them wouldn't be isru chag succos and if you missed it your left scrambling.
I wish I didn't need to start shopping for the next season 5 months in advance because otherwise they sell out of sizes.

More roads, less traffic.
Also traffic lights so you don't have to wait forever to make a turn.

I have wondered why there isn’t a dedicated Mexican restaurant, Chinese restaurant or any other type of cuisine that isn’t just “fleishigs “.

There used to be a taco place that was fantastic. And it had amazing private seating.
I think it closed bec the owner moved.

Exactly. 10:30 - 11:00 is in middle of the day
It kills the entire schedule for the day when stored open so late. That’s why I buy department stores. Open earlier and close later.

Iscream kids didn’t do well but I do feel there is a huge need for an indoor place to take young kids , perhaps include mommy and me programs on weekdays.
All over the country there are indoor play places for young kids but nothing in Lakewood!

I don’t have any insider info as to their accounts etc but I know to take my 3 kids it cost me around $50. My youngest (a very tall 2.5 year old) couldn’t climb onto anything without help. My middle kid had to follow her around the entire time and help- the other option was me climbing through the tunnels. My older child wanted to play in the arcade the entire time which was additional money. I realised for around the same price we could go to a place they’d all be able to participate in easily like Urban Air. It was not really fun for anyone - the kid who needed help, the kid who had to help the whole time or the kid who begged for quarters the whole time. The playground seemed catered to a small age range, like 4-8. Older than that they get bored abs younger they can’t do it. I have been to a lot of nonJewish places and they seem to have a lot more going on for the 2-5 range which I feel like is the key demographic with this.
I think it was a good idea but needed some tweaks.

Takeoff from Brooklyn, as that's when the stores open there. No idea why. Maybe so the owners could do their errands in the morning before opening up
