If you wear it every day, once it’s oxidized you’ll probably have to dye yearly
If only the crown gets light, you can do a rooting not a full dye

I got married 8 years ago and bought a sary and an elka wig. About 5 years ago I bought a judy.
I have never needed to dye any of them

Probably depends a lot on the color. My brown wigs have always been fine.
