My mother is a volunteer Doula for Nshei in Brooklyn. She often gets called to help out people even when it's not her official "shift". Call Nshei and see if they can help you.

My friend is a Doula, she works really hard. She is continuously doing continuing education, and works random times and all hours of the night, puts her life on hold …
She deserves to be paid well.

Do they work with all hospitals? What's the contact information?

I think it's based in Maimonides, but it's worth asking. I don't have the contact info, I just know that Yaffa Bochner runs the program.

Of course she does. But if someone can't afford they shouldn't be made to feel bad about it.

OP, when I couldn't afford to pay so much I hired a student doula who needed births in order to get certified. She was absolutely amazing!

When I could afford, I happily paid $1,000 for my doula's excellent services!

I'm also in need of this, someone who is natural minded & works in Methodist. Anyone? Had an amazing doula last time but she was $1200 which is way out of my budget this time around...

In addition to doula, I’m wondering how Methodist works with vaccinating, I want to avoid that. Does a doula help with that as well?
