Dh and I used essential oil and both got it back within a week.
Smelled eucalyptus, rose and fresh oil 3x per day. 10 seconds per nostril.
I heard from many ppl it worked.

you should go to the doctor. I had a treatment with steroids that made me regain partially my sense in 4 months (of treatment). Now I'm almost 100% better

Most people I know it was 1 week to 1 month.
A few 6 months and some 1 year. My brother in law doesn't have it since pesach 2020.
European countries are more advanced than the US for remedies.

I had "Delta" right after Sukkos I realized I lost it a few days into it, but I was so congested I couldn't smell properly. I had the monoclonal antibodies and it came back much sooner than my husband who didn't get it back for almost 2 months.
I believe I'm dealing with Omicron now and never lost it.

My sister lost it last year December. She still didn't get back her taste. She struggles with getting protien like fish, eggs and meat. If anyone know of a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

Would you be able to give some details about what oils and what you did? My husband is really suffering with this right now and I would be grateful for help.
