Thank you! It's a song that has very strong associations for me. I was listening to it in a car that we borrowed when I found out that a relative had suddenly lost a young child. That song became connected to the tragedy in my mind and I sing it when I think of her, but didn't know all the words. Hopefully I'll find the lyrics now that I know the title and album.

I have among my computer Word files a multipage document with the entire history of the tune to "The Little Bird" (under various previous titles going by their original language), with only the last three or so pages devoted to the 1954 tune under that most recent title. I considerably expanded on it (by over 100% of its original three verses), and have translated all seven verses into both Hebrew and Yiddish. Problem: printing out copies is still awaiting suggestions for corrections/improvement of the Yiddish by my cousin's husband in Flatbush. Bottom line: Patience, please. Publication coming soon.
