Is there anyone who does general anesthesia for this? Or is there a very gentle endodontist with experience with this situation?
Any tips and advice for getting them to sit in the dentist's chair appreciated.

If your in Brooklyn Perry Malek is an excellent dentist that I’ve brought my very difficult kids to. One she worked on him under general anesthesia. Another she managed to calm down and worked through the procedure with him.

I drive 45 minutes to Dr Eytan Chen in Engelwood. He is excellent. We tried 6 dentist before him (who my kids refused to sit in the chair) My kids sit in the dentist chair with Dr. Chen without moving.

I don't live in your area (obviously) but I've been having dental procedures under nitrous oxide since I was 15. It's always worked for me and has been enough for me through decades of dental work, except for very serious procedures like extractions. See if your dentist will give your child nitrous.

There are issues with nitrous and Covid, and because of Covid many dentists aren't using it right now. It has to do with sanitizing the delivery method, I don't have time to google it for you right now.

Fantastic Endodontist in teaneck that my majorly anxious 15 year old did really well with - he was patient and gentle and really talked her through it.
+1 (201) 836-8000 Dr Michael Lewis.

Red Bank Endotontics are FANTASTIC.

Dr Herbert Guttentag- its worth the drive! So gentle, entertaining, and practically pain-free (he has a SILENT DRILL!!!) . Highly recommend.
