Did anyone try a natural way to stop their child’s seizures? Without any meds.

My daughter is on 3 seizure meds but the only thing that really worked is the keto diet.

Figure out the triggers, common ones are sugar, screens, moving vehicles, not enough sleep..

How do you know it’s the keto diet that’s working if she’s on 3 meds

No. Do NOT take medical advice from an Instagram coach, or anyone here. Please visit your kid’s pediatrician and ask them about all possible options for treating seizures. That visit comes first.

OP, I have no idea but just wanted to say I'm 100% into natural/ alternative medicine and I respect very much that you are looking into alternative treatments rather than relying on pharmaceuticals that may work well (or not) but bring their own side-effects - but please find yourself an excellent natural practitioner to guide you through this. Seizures are serious; do not rely on advice given here or internet searches.

Because she’s been on all 3 meds for years with it barely helping and when we added the keto diet her seizures went away in 2 months.
She’s still on the meds and the diet because her seizure disorder is very severe but the diet made the most drastic difference.

However- the diet must be done under supervision of a neuro and dietician.

Agreed. Seizures are a neurological disorder that should not be played around with. it's good to know triggers, even with meds. One big trigger for me (I'm a seizure recovery, bh) was flashing lights. Such as, on the subway, when the train goes fast and the lights in the tunnel flash by fast. It's mesmerizing, but at the same time a seizure trigger.

Meds to control it from about age 4-12. And eventually, bh , outgrew it.

In addition to the keto diet, you can eliminate or reduce seizures by treating the root causes for the seizures. Among the top causes for seizures, as discussed in scientific literature, all of which are fairly common:
Nutritional deficiencies, especially magnesium and thiamine. Yes, you can look it up on pubmed. Magnesium deficiency and or thiamine deficiency alone can cause seizures. B12 as well.
Electrolyte imbalances .
Autoimmune encephalitis
Heavy metal toxicity
Celiac or not celiac gluten sensitivity
Dairy allergy
Lyme disease
Mold illness or toxicity
Excess Glutamate
Mast cells and histamine disorders
Gut dysbiosis
Mitochondrial dysfunction
Thyroid dysfunction
