we never ever drink beer. I asked DH to buy 2 bottles last week to try makeing beerbattered chicken and he brought home a 6-pack. It's Corona brand.
if we give the remaining bottles with some mishloach manot, does it seem too shticky or eyeroll/cringey?. FTR, we have absolutely no theme going on

A year ago, it might have been an eye roll. Now, if you just throw it in without reference, it's probably just a beer bottle.

This. If there’s no theme involved, it’s just a bottle of beer.

I would send it to people I know who have a sense of humor.

I assume the beer-batter chicken was a bust? Because there are still 7 weeks till Pesach and you could use up the beer by making the dish again.

no. It was actually good but I don't fry often and I hate standing at the stove that long anyway

Why not try baking the chicken in beer in the oven or cooking stovetop? One of the best chickens I ever made was baked in beer. I had no recipe, just threw in onions, garlic and black pepper. Coincidentally, it was a can of beer I got with MM.
