If their wives don't drive?

In my community all the women are the drivers so it made me wonder what we'd do if I didn't drive...

Either they don’t drink, hire a non Jewish driver, pair up with someone who doesn’t drink, walk, or stay put.

Meaning, if the men get drunk? Very simple. They either don’t get drunk or hire a driver or something. Or they do it at the last seuda of the day when they just need to drive home after (and not deliver mishloach manos anymore) and they have one person at the seuda who doesn’t drink and will drive everyone home after.
Chassidish here.

My dad didn't drink. My husband would only drink the second night, and would either have someone sober drive him home or take an uber.

Some of them make a point of being in their hometown for the second seuda the second day, and only start drinking and then.
(After all deliveries are complete and visits out of town have been done.)

My husb only drinks when he knows he won’t need to drive anymore. We work out the day that way not to need the car anymore late afternoon. There are always taxis if needed.

Yes. Many chassidim have 2 day seudos. One in the morning and one in the evening.

Haha we had 5 meals! We finished our taanus esther meal and arrived to our next stop as they were starting their meal and had us eat with them....
Same happened after our morning meal.

In Chasidish Brooklyn it doesn’t always even make sense to drive around on purim, main streets in Williamsburg and Boro Park are super clogged and parking spaces are non-existent. We use Uber/Lyft locally when needed, it costed us around $75 in total. Upshot is husband can drink as much as he wants starting from 10am Very Happy

I don't know about what Chassidim specifically do since we're not, but my husband does most of the driving recently on Purim since I'm hosting the seuda so I'm busy preparing most of the day. He doesn't start drinking until the seuda either way (which we started at 6 pm this year) since he says the mitzva is to drink at the seuda not just randomly throughout the day.

When we lived in the same town as our parents, dh would drive us around to visit friends and deliver mm. He would start drinking at my parents meal and we would Uber or walk home depending on the weather. This year we live in a different town and we needed to drive home motze purim so dh didn’t drink. I told him it’s a pity I don’t drive since he took drinking seriously. Meaning he didn’t get crazy drunk or vomit, just drank for the mitzva and became a little high. It’s the only day in the year he touches alcohol so this was a big adjustment for him.
