Has anyone gotten their 2 year old a small bike with training wheels? My daughter is pretty tall wearing 3t and she's very strong and has amazing balance. I'm thinking she might be able to handle training wheels. Am I being unrealistic?

my daughter is 2.5, I cannot imagine any bike that would be a good fit for her. There's no way she would be able to touch the ground with her feet. A tricycle might be better but even that I can't see her reaching the pedals.

Really? A 12 inch would be too big? She is too tall for all the push bikes and trikes we have.

If she's super tall, maybe? It also takes a lot of strength and coordination to push the peddles.
I would try it before you buy one, or buy one and know it's possibly going into storage until next summer.
