Regarding tuition
We were told only for girls. A father is obligated to give his son Torah education so can’t use ma’aser
Was told could for girls bdieved. But even then not for English. Only Hebrew.
Imteresting, k wondered how you can give maaser to fulfill your tuition obligation. We do use others’ maaser to help pay our tuition and will give our maaser to help pay theirs but I thought you were supposed to swap

We use for boys and girls tuition.
Based on income we would owe close to 20000 in maaser. We pay full tuition for 3 kids which is more.
We also gave about $7000 in tzedakah ...BH

Regarding the bolded, I gave maaser and lost my job. Many rich people give lots of tzedakah and still end up losing all their money. So its very triggering and hurtful to say that maaser brings lots of Bracha or more money when that is not the case for everyone. Wish someone can explain it further as to why people who give maaser lose everything which goes against the philosophy of giving maaser.

It was a bracha that you lost your job. Even if you don't believe it.
Years ago I lost a very comfortable, very enjoyable, job. I still miss the place. But looking so many years back, I know that spiritually it was not a good place for me.
Another option is that you aren't giving maaser correctly. Start learning the halachos.

I know that you're supposed to trust Hashem to have money for today. And don't worry about tomorrow. (Not saying I find it easy, at all...) So if you have enough for today, you can give ma'aser and trust Hashem to return it by the time you'll need it.
