Is that the one with the potatoes and 1 1/2 cups bottled or homemade ketchup? Not so appetizing.

Pesach Cholent

2 tbsp potato starch
4 cups water, room temp
1/2 cup sweet red wine (Kedem Matuk Kal)
3 strips flanken
1 pkg cheek meat
8 large Idaho potatoes, cut very small
1 1/2 cups ketchup (or homemade below)
1 tablespoon table salt

Whisk potato starch and water. Whisk in wine.
In a crockpot or deep pan combine wine mixture with all ingredients. Mix well.
Crockpot: Friday morning cook on high for a few hours then switch to low.
Oven: Use a few pan, cover tightly and cook at 250 for 10 hours. To serve, warm the cholent along with your shabbos food.

Pesach Ketchup

5 plum tomatoes
1 small onion, chopped
5 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer 2 hours. Blend until smooth.
