This might be here already, I don't know, but...
Do you're kids help clean off the weekday/shabbos table?
My oldest (9) usually doesn't have to be reminded, but the other ones, always. (just their stuff)
On shabbos, I usually tell them all to help clean the table (or else no dessert Twisted Evil ).

I just started doing this with my kids (7 and down). after breakfast, e/o takes their stuff away from the table. they definitely do need to be reminded.

shabbos, everyone makes a few trips into the kitchen with some wine/soda bottles and other stuff.

We each used to have to clear off the number of things corresponding to our ages.

During the week, they each have to bring their plate, glass and silverware to the sink, rinse it and put in the dishwasher. On Shabbos, they are assigned a course to clear, depending on age. At the end of the meal, everyone clears the entire table, de-crumbs it, and sweeps the floor. Guests who come (nieces and nephews) know the rules, and also help. They start when they are 3 years old, and it just becomes automatic. Bedmaking is another story....just can't get them to do that!!!!

Same here. They start helping as soon as they can walk.
During the week, everyone takes care of their plates.

we have a "clear you spot" rule.
each kid must clear their dish and cup before they can leave.

They clear plates when they're done and wipe their placemats down during the week. They help serve and clear on Shabbos. If they're not interested in clearning on Shabbos, I only have to remind them that the faster the table gets cleared the faster the dessert comes out ;-), then it's not a problem. I have two that like setting the table - one prefers silverware and one loves to fold napkins. B'H.

We were away for Pesach and one of them even cleared his cousin's plates ;-).
