Some kids are kvetchier than others. Just the way it is. I know, it's so hard to function with the kvetching...

For some kids, yes. Just as it is for some adults. Don't we all know chronic whiners? There's nothing wrong with them, it's just their personality. Also the age. From what I see in my dgc, about age 3 is prime whining time. You love the kids but do they have to whine in that high pitch that grates on the ears and shreds the nerves? Can't they just complain in a normal voice?
Of course they don't whine all the time. Sometimes they have meltdowns that are audible blocks away. Like a car alarm on Shabbat, once they go off they keep going until the battery runs out of juice.
