If it’s not an expensive sheitel, I would toss it.

Bag it for 2 weeks. It will all be dead. Then just comb it out with a lice comb, not that there a viable lice, just because it is gross.

When my coworker had nits in her sheitel, she was told to bag it for 2 weeks and freeze it.

After waiting two weeks, I’d just wash it and brush it normally. Combing with a lice comb will pull out the hairs. The dead bugs will fall out and there should be very few nuts since most would’ve hatched and died.

Correction: I'm not even sure if my sheitel has lice, I just found a few nits in my short shaven hair, I prob caught it while cleaning my daughter

My wigs have to be quarantined because I had lice that I caught from my kids.
I wore both of the within the last few days before the infestation.
We went to a professional to get it cleaned out, but any idea where I can get a shaitel for Yom tov? Does anyone know of a gemach that would give it to me for just 2 weeks? I'm in Brooklyn btw.
