Do you think Ahuva is a less “yeshivish” name? Does it have a more “modern” ring to it?

We’re very right wing yeshivish, and I love the name..but wondering if it’s a misfit for our family?

Any thoughts?

Please don’t throw tomatoes at me...

I know some Yeshivish Ahuvas. I don't think it's an especially Yeshivish name, but certainly not modern. Though you can also use Leeba, which has the same meaning. I love that name!

Do you have other children? What kind of names do they have?

I'm super yeshivish I have an Ahuva. I have about 10 yeshivish neighbors with the name Ahuva as well as at least one per class in my kid's yeshivish school.

We are yeshivish light and my daughter is Leeba. A relative who is not as yeshivish as us named their daughter after the same person but instead of Leeba named her Ahuva.
But at the same time I know several very yeshivish Ahuva.

Totally fine in a yeshivish family imho. I have an Ahava which I believe has a more modern ring to it.

It could be that the most RW Lakewood families would choose not to give Ahuva
But most mainstream Lakewood has no problem. I can count 6-8 Ahuvas in my neighborhood (from baby until age 50).
Btw, R Chaim Kanievsky ztl didn't have an issue with the name Ahuva like he objected to some other "modern" names, possibly because one of his sisters was Ahuva (meaning a name given in mainstream Litvish circles for close to a hundred years).
