My DS has 3 names, one of which is Yehuda. We call him Yidel. I personally always liked the name.

I would definitely call yidel or Leiby. Not yeheeda I’m chassidish

I'm not Chassidish. I only like the name Yehuda with the litvish havarah and none of the nicknames mentioned. The nicknames sound silly to me but I'm really not used to them so maybe that's why. Can you just not use the Chassidish havarah? Is that a thing? (Like lets say I didn't like the name Shalom but I liked the Chassidish havarah I could just call him shulem and that would be his name...)
