Room? I’m curious to know what is a nice Jewish size that’s comfortable but not over the top

Living room and dining room. 15 x 30. It's a good size.

I went thru my plans again - looks like they have the dining room 12x18 and living room 13x18
It’s not one long room, it’s like two rectangles side by side. There’s a very large opening so almost like one big room if needed - which would be 25x18
Will this work or should I adjust my plans (redoing old house )

Doing something similar. Working on renovation plans. I have both my living room and dining room side by side.

My dining room is a 12.5 x 20 and living room is a 11 x 20. There is a 10 ft opening between the two rooms. I am making a jut out in the dining room of 8 ft for potential built in furniture.

I think this set up is really nice. For living space, dining space and future simchas.

So that’s the size of both my rooms - living and dining - together….do you use all the space?
I will have a wall but the opening between the rooms is 14 feet (of 18 foot wall)

My dining room is 19 long. I want to extend it so I can put an 11 foot table!

You wanted to have at least a 3' clearance around the table for people walk.

That was what I was told. I added another two feet so that there is a little more space. But 18' ft sounds like the minimum.
