Depending how far you want to go, Vail is amazing in the summer.

Vermont is lovely too.

Of course, Alaska is a popular summer vacation spot. There will be a kosher royal
Carribean cruise there in August

Have you done a Maine trip? We are going this summer and would love to pick your brain a bit.

Yep. Stayed near Bangor, spent a few days hiking in Acadia NP. Also visited Baxter SP / Mount Katahdin. Got kosher food in Portland, Maine. It's beautiful up there though Acadia can get quite busy during the summer months.
Feel free to ask any questions.

Where are you staying in Maine? Considering this for a summer family trip.

Yes, it is warm there. Right on the coast you’ll get some cooler mornings because of the fog, but by the afternoon it’s often quite warm throughout the region. I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a cooler climate.

What about the coast in the Pacific Northwest? Both Oregon and Washington have beautiful coastlines that are relatively cool.
