Before I start medicine with my dd I want to know if there are alternative things we can do to help her. She’s in therapy but doesn’t seem to be enough

If you feel there may be a physiological cause, please check out Friedy and Raizy Guttmann. They are OTs specializing in anxiety. They saved my 2 sons. www.handsonotrehab.com. They also have instagram and whatsapp. www.instagram.com/handsonapproaches. You can also hear them live every Friday at 9:45 AM. They answer questions for the community via zoom. Good luck!

Treating chronic strep/pandas was what helped us most but also:

Magnesium
Methylated b vitamins
Nac or glutathione
L theanine
5htp
Gaba
Inositol

A good way to know if brain inflammation is what’s causing anxiety is the ibuprophen trial. Give full dose ibuprofen every 6 hours for 3 days and see if symptoms improve. If they do, you know it’s inflammation.

Thanks. She takes vitamins. Besides vitamins and testing for strep anything else. She also had a panic attack. Wondering if there’s something a bit more

”Taking vitamins” is not the same as targeted treatment for anxiety using supplements. We also threw a couple of vitamins at my kid before we knew what was going on and it did nothing. Only once we started zeroing in on causes and supplementing in a very careful way did we start seeing results. Panic attacks can be related to thyroid or adrenals.

Craniosacral therapy can be very helpful.

EFT therapy (I only recommend therapists trained with Gary Craig's method).

Our Paediatrician recommended supplementing with fish oil. We saw a huge change in my daughter’s anxiety once we started.
