Which direction did your baby roll? It’s quite common for newborns to roll from stomach to back much earlier than back to stomach.
One of my kids rolled from stomach to back at 3 weeks, one at 6 weeks. They both only rolled from back to stomach at a few months old. Remember to stop swaddling them as soon as they show signs of rolling from back to stomach or back to side. With my kids that was at around 3 months.

It can be a sign of abnormally high tone. Nothing to freak out about but something to mention to your pediatrician.

My son did it at four. My daughter was even earlier but I don’t recall when. She also smiled socially after two days and continued to.

What is the connection between this? Would a doctor be able to see this?

Our baby has been turning into her side since week one. We shouldn't swaddle her then? She loves sleeping on it.

No, newborns going to their side is normal. It's called the 'newborn curl.'

He has both lip and tongue tie so makes sense he might roll. Thanks for letting me know I was nervous
