I see this a lot!! Not just here and there.
Why do some spell it isreal? I always thought it was spelled “Israel” everywhere, but since I’m seeing this so often I figured maybe I’m wrong? If not, why is it something ppl get wrong so often?
Every time I see it spelled that way I automatically think “is real” - makes no sense in my head…

It's definitely Israel, not Isreal. People misspell it.

People pronounce it as Isreal so they spell it that way without knowing that it's spelled Israel, as in Yisroel.

Oh that’s interesting. Never heard it pronounced that way…
Still irks me though. Especially in a formal email or fundraiser etc.

Because they sound it out.
I once spelled it "Isreal."
I was eight.

That tshirt is the reason I never make this particular spelling mistake. (I was 6 at the time)
