Been trying to go off all sugar honey maple syrup etc and looking for a replacement.
So far tried xylitol, monk fruit with erythritol, and Swerve. All gave me stomach pain, gas, diarrhea...
Anything else to try or are they all like this?

Have you tried coconut sugar? It has a similar taste to a light brown sugar, and actually tastes good in coffee. Also try brown rice syrup (also called maltose).

What's the upside of coconut sugar?

Coconut sugar sounds healthier than sugar made from sugar cane and it's been popular lately but there's very little difference. If you need to avoid sugar, stay away from coconut sugar too. As your stomach already showed you a lot of the artificial sugars can make you sick in different ways than other sugars, but bottom line sick is sick. If you can't manage to stay away from sweets completely drizzle a drop of honey or maple syrup on some fresh cut fruit. If baking brownies or muffins with coconut sugar makes you happy go ahead, but don't fool yourself into thinking there's anything healthy there.
