Parenting simply, by adina soclof. I know you said no frum authors, but I guarantee you'll love this one. Not preachy and super straightforward.
You can follow her on Instagram too and she gives short talks that are so empowering and helpful!

Playful parenting (Lawrence Cohen), the conscious parent (shefali tsabary) the gift of imperfect parenting (brenee Brown). Sora Chara Radcliffe has a book geared towards a secular audience too. I've also enjoyed all the what do you expect books (the toddler years) there are a series of books that take you through every age and what is normal for that age. I'm not sure what it's called. Really enjoyed.
