Thanks for starting the thread OP.
It is an opportunity for me to reflect on my life, and I am thinking of it in terms of Dickens-
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Here are my highs and lows so far:
Highs:
Growing up in a caring household
Getting a great Jewish education
finding my bashert early and easily
Having my wonderful children early and easily
Finding employment easily
Lows:
Growing up in a small apartment
Living with a challenging sibling
Battling social anxiety
Painful relations
PPD and anxiety
Family and in law drama
Lack of support network
It's a wonderful life if I remember to focus on the good. I am so grateful for the gifts Hashem has given me. I wouldn't be who I am without the bumps in the road....

We speak hebrew at home to our baby. I love reading and cooking and sharing and getting new recipes.
Pretty boring! |
You sound a lot like me! Also a slp. Thought I would make more money than I actually do. Definitely not enough for ny living. Also married an Israeli. How many kids do you have? Does your husband work here? It’s hard for my husband to find the right job for him since he’s Israeli.
