Leave 10 yr old home with sleeping siblings for about 30 min. No baby or toddler and 1 adult is a 2 min drive away.

Yes I do it, but my daughter is responsible and I went through all the emergency protocols.

Depends on the personality of the 10 yr old. If they're reliable, mature and responsible, definitely. They just need to be told what to do in case of emergency, and have phone numbers of parents written down (so they don't forget it in a panic if something happens).

If your child is mature, was taught common dangers over the years, and is comfortable doing so then yes

I would say no, but my mother left me. I was mature enough, there were neighbours available and no I’m not emotionally damaged from it. If the child is capable and also comfortable then it’s a possibility, but most 10 year olds probably aren’t mature enough.

Yes, I’ve done this before. We have a house phone and my child knows my cell phone number.
