Anyone had their baby have more than one uti . Doctor is sending me to urologist. Anything I need to know : any pediatric urologist u recommend in manhatten

My friend's baby had that it was a kidney issue and she needed a nephrologist.

My daughter had this- recurring UTIs as a baby. Went to urologist turns out she was born with duplex kidneys on both sides, meaning 2 ureters (the tube attaching kidney to bladder) instead of one which was causing back flow and infections. some ppl have this and never know cuz it doesn’t cause a problem but it’s one of the first things they look for. She has surgery at 2.5 to kind of combine the ureters (reimplantation) and bh she hasn’t had one since.

My daughter had 2 as baby, got basic imaging and saw urologist who recommended further testing if continues but BH never happened again and she's in grade school.
