Someone in Tel Aviv brought me shuk candy overseas. Was expecting the loose candy but this is just a lot of prepackaged small candies.
The person who brought me this is Jewish but not religious. I've been eating the candies that say Badatz but not the ones that have nothing except the flavor written on them. Is there a way to know if those are kosher? Does it depend on the shuk--some sell all kosher and some don't? The person does know about kosher and that I keep kosher.

Depends on the store she bought it from. In the shuk in tel Aviv many (most) places are just rabbanut, or even nothing. Don't assume it's kosher/mehadrin.

I wouldn't eat them. All candies can be problematic and gummies are the biggest problem because of gelatin.

Do the ones that have only the flavor written on them anything like a brand name or trade name on them? If so, it might be possible to check on the internet if they have a hechsher, and which. They were likely part of a bigger package that had the information on the outside and were taken out for single unit sale.
In general, to my best knowledge, any products that are made in Israel these days only use fish gelatine, animal gelatine was phased out many years ago. Most made-in-Israel sweets anyway have hechsherim, not having one would greatly limit their range of buyers. Even traditional Jews and part of the chilonim keep kosher here, in addition to the frum crowd, so it's a selling point. However, sweets that were imported,/smuggled from outside Israel and then sold here are more problematic and could have a bad or no hechsher and uncontrolled ingredients. Some people get privately hold of sweets made in the Palestinian territories - not sure though if that would reach the shuk. That would be halal but not kosher, then
