I'm sending my 9th grade son to camp this summer. None of my children have ever been to sleepaway. He's going to a yeshivish learning camp.
What should I know?
What does he need?
Any advice for a clueless mother welcome!

Usually they need two sets of clothing- white shirts and dress pants for learning, and tiros and tshirts for sports.

How yeshivish? Maybe ask parents that sent there in the past. Super yeshivish camps don’t change for sports.
My boys, as said above, white shirts and comf dark pants for davening and learning. Tshirts and tiros for sports.
Find out how often laundry is done.
They need many sets of underwear and sports wear.
They don’t need that many white shirts since they don’t wear them all day so can use for davening more than one day.

My sons go to pretty yeshivish mesivta lkwd camps. The majority of boys change for sports.
White shirts and blazer they leave in shul to put over t-shirt for mincha maariv. Wear dress shirt and pants for shacharis and learning.

2 dress pants. 4 white weekday shirts.
4 pair Tiro pants. 10-12 t-shirts. The t-shirts get sweaty so have to be washed at least once per day.
Extra set tzitzis 2 extra yarmulka
12 underwear. 12 undershirts. 4 pair pajama bottoms. 12 pair socks. 2-3 sweatshirts for sleeping.
Sneakers. Shabbos shoes. Dress shoes. Slides for shower. (Can skip Shabbos shoes snd wear dress shoes in camp)
Most camps do not allow shorts out of bunk house. Some boys will wear for sleeping.
2 bathing suits.
3 bath towels. 3 hand towels.
2 sets linen

Some camps will provide grills and fridge. If that is case boys bring hot dogs, hamburgers, or anything they want to grill - frozen.
