And should I freeze batter or ready made? Hard to believe everyone makes it fresh each week!

Yes. I bake for one hour at 450. Then cool and freeze. Then take out Thursday night and leave in the oven overnight (approx 6 hours) at 220. Yummy!

Ready made. Not as good as fresh but can be very good.
Don't freeze raw batter. Doesn't come out good.

We freeze it baked. And put it straight into a hot oven to defrost and warm up. Do not defrost it first.

I've done it and it comes out very good. Put a thin layer of oil and then a cup of water over the frozen kugel, bake at 450 for two hours.
