I am looking for a simple cheesecake recipe that will have 2 layers in addition to the crust.

Is there a recipe that has a big mixture of cheese and other ingredients, that is divided in 2 before adding "flavoring"?

How would that work regarding baking instructions and time?

I have made this one a few times. Pretty straightforward and it's delicious.

There is also a kids' show on kosher.com now, showing a layered cheesecake made the way you describe--dividing the one main mix and adding one more ingredient to each bowl. It has more layers than you're asking for, but you could just choose the layers you want and adjust accordingly.

The Bais Yaakov cookbook has a very good one that I made few times. I just don't have time to type up the recipe now.

Zebra:
CRUST:
6 oz. graham cracker crumbs
6 tsp. butter, melted
CHEESE CAKE:
3 8oz. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla sugar
1 ib. sour cream
3 Tbsp flour
COCOA MIXTURE:
2 Tbsp cocoa
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp coffee
1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp hot water

Combine crumbs and butter. press into 10" round, deep pan. Or use 2
ready graham cracker crusts.
Mix all ingredients for cheese cake until smooth. Remove 4 1/4 cups of
batter. set aside.
To remaining batter, add cocoa mixture. With plastic cup, pour 6 oz.
of each batter, alternating light and dark batter, into middle of
baking pan. Repeat with remaining batter, forming circles resulting in
a striped zebra effect. Place in a larger pan filled halfway with
water and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Close flame and
leave in oven to cool.
VARIATION:
Use 2 ready graham cracker crusts. Divide batter for 2 pies. Proceed
as above. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.
NOTE: Keep outer side of cup clean, while pouring :to avoid dripping.

Not layered. Maybe someone can change instructions for layering instead. I personally love the zebra look.
